A major investment of £700k at a strategically-located truck and bus depot near the M1 at Rotherham could lead to more jobs for the local area.
Crossroads Truck & Bus, a private independently owned Volvo Truck and Bus dealer, have given their Rotherham facility a major new overhaul. Conveniently located just off junction 33 of the M1, Crossroads Rotherham depot has an enviable position to support local truck operators as well as those travelling the M1 corridor.
Managing Director, Gareth Legg said: “We have invested £700k in giving our purpose built Rotherham facility a complete facelift, including improved customer-facing areas, new signage, a remodelled reception area as well as improved access to the depot. Rotherham is an important part of our business and it now looks amazing complimenting the team that we have working in the depot, who are a fantastic group of people,”
General Manager of the Rotherham depot, which offers Volvo Truck and Bus servicing and repairs, a 24-hour breakdown call-out and a host of specialist services, is Simon Hothersall. “We have not only improved the environment that our colleagues are working in but also the new layout will enhance the customer experience by making the process more efficient. We are already winning additional new business, so we are looking to increase the number of HGV Technicians that we have here on site. We would welcome customers to come and see the improvements to the depot that we have made”.
